What Is Iboga TA?

Iboga TA (Total Alkaloids) is an extract from Tabernanthe iboga, an alkaloid-rich plant found in parts of Central and West Africa. A Total Alkaloids preparation can contain a number of naturally occurring iboga alkaloids, as opposed to purified ibogaine.

The most well-known compound in this class is ibogaine, a monoterpenoid indole alkaloid. Other alkaloids of related interest are ibogamine, ibogaline, noribogaine, coronaridine and related compounds. Iboga TA therefore should not be considered the same as purified ibogaine.
